Vision Statement

Mission Statement

Our vision is for a world where diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging (DEIAB) are valued and practiced by all individuals, groups, and service organizations.

To engage and collaborate with organizations and stakeholders across the country who are committed to improving the outcomes for children, youth, and families impacted by systems that create marginalized conditions, by fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging (DEIAB) through the adoption of anti-racist attitudes, policies, and practices.

about the project

The BBI Leaders of Color workgroup has grown from 8 members to over 25 members from organizations across the country. Together they have written three position papers including the most recent one with a focus on navigating homogenous cultures within our field and the distinct challenges leaders of color face.

The work of this group has been energized by several virtual summits and more recently, two in-person summits – one in Baltimore, MD in April 2022 and one in Atlanta, GA in May 2023.
